Past and present farming experience:

Since 2011, my wife Jocelyn and I established Longhaul Farm in Garrison, NY in the Hudson Valley. We practice sustainable living and regenerative agriculture, including running a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program for 50 families on a half-acre vegetable garden and free-range livestock program raising chickens, heritage turkeys, egg-laying hens and pigs. Our farm currently operates on seven acres. In addition, we run a non-profit organization called the Ecological Citizen's Project which trains new, diverse farmers and connects them to land where they can grow food for their community. We have been farming on fourth generation family land that is leaving the family and are looking to build a new home and farm for our family (we have two young children) and continue to serve our local community.

Here is a summary of the vision for my farming future and/or business plan:

Our current business plan would follow our founding Longhaul Farm plan, which I have attached. We believe that a farm is not only about the production of nutritious food using practices that preserve soil health, but can serve as an open community space that educate others in the joys of living a life in nature and grounding yourself in community service.
