Past and present farming experience:

My name is Kirsten and my partner Bruce and I own and operate Abenaki Springs Farm in Walpole, NH. which is a successful small scaled, certified organic farm that produces mainly vegetables and small fruit but also pastured poultry and a few pigs for ourselves. We sell our produce at two popular farmers markets, CSA, our road side stand, and wholesale accounts such as local restaurants and a local foodhub. Before buying this property in 2004, Bruce managed Hutchins Farm in Concord, MA.

Here is a summary of the vision for my farming future and/or business plan:

We have been farming together for five years with the help of Bruce's older children and our little one, Emmett. It has been our long-term goal to end up in coastal Maine. Ideally we would love to find an established farm that wants to transfer ownership, although we are also open the possibility of managing another farm or starting from scratch with the right resources available (land, infrastructure, proximity to markets). We are both eager and excited to find the right opportunity for us in Maine.
