We have worked through schools on volunteering projects planting trees, planting vegtables in no-till beds, creating swales, harvesting and a lot of online research and college level courses.

Have not made a specific business plan. We are wanting to make sure the soil at the location is suitable for growing, and at the same time if the land is suitable for raising livestock and growing produce. So that would be step 1. Our goal is to start small, if there is no house on the land then building a house would be the second step. After that it would be plantinf crops and getting chickens or ducks for eggs. Next would be getting a few cows and possibly some alpaca or sheep. After that is just expanding the scale until we hit the right balance with the land. We are not in a rush to sell produce but live off land initially, until we are ready to expand.
