Past and present farming experience:

We currently own a small farm in CT where we raise sheep, cows, pigs, chickens and turkeys for meat and wool. We are very interested in moving to Maine in the next 3-6 months. We also are working hard on possibly opening a woolen mill in Maine. We have been very involved in agriculture in CT for many years but supporting our three children move from 4H to FFA projects. We have been very active in our local FFA program, where I have been the Alumni President for 3 years, as well as being on call for lambing and calving help. We are very excited to finally be able to follow our dream to Maine!

Here is a summary of the vision for my farming future and/or business plan:

We do have a business plan of selling meats to our local restaurants, as well as having an online store with the possibility of a mail service. As far as the wool mill, it would be a mail/drop in/pick up service. Our vision of providing a healthy meat source that is local, while also supporting the local companies, such as grain stores, restaurants, and possibly specialty grocery stores. We also look forward to being able to help the younger generation with sharing our love of farming and passing on our passion.
