Currently operating a two acre leased space for my family's homestead. We operate a roadside Farmstand in Gardiner selling organic produce, eggs, and craft goods. I've worked in healthcare as a Maine native for over ten years. My husband is a brewer but he supports my dreams. He does sugaring on the side. After the birth of my daughter I decided on a lifestyle change. We currently tend 50+ poultry including ducks, ornamentals and egg layers. We recently have added goats to our farm with the hopes of getting into dairy and meat. In addition have begun a small rabbitry. I have taken classes on market gardening with the hopes of expansion to CSA veggies one day. You can only do so much on two acres. We've made the most of our leased space.

Our vision at Hamner Homestead is to increase our diversity livestock and broaden our knowledge. To live sustainably and use organic practices. Our goal is to own a farm with 10-20 acres where we could operate a year round greenhouse. To sell farm raised meat and dairy on a small scale, quality over quantity.
