My Fiance and I are looking for our little slice of heaven. I grew up on a 500 acre farm in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. I am not looking for a huge project like that unless I had a mentor. I want a smaller farm where I can diversify -mostly looking for water access to raise oysters and/or build my own fishery. We've working in fine dining restaurants so we are hoping to supply local eateries and hopefully partner with local educational institutions to provide education and field trips. We are looking for a community that cares about their land and wants to steward and protect it - living with the land. I am no stranger to long and cold winters where round bails and square bales needed setting out at 4am in the dark. We are young and interested in building something or taking something over. The farm would be my job as well as my passion project.

In development - Nailing down what my specialization will be - hoping for meat rabbits, chickens, goats, and oysters (maybe shrimp as well). Oysters would be my first choice for production.
