Past and present farming experience:

I have been farming for 7 years on a variety of organic farms. My most recent position was managing a 4 acre diversified vegetable operation with a 140 member CSA. Before that I spent multiple years focusing on livestock management and hope to find a farm where I can integrate livestock in with annual vegetables and orchards.

I am passionate about building healthy soils and believe in the importance of regenerative farming practices to improve the land so that it will continue to be resilient and productive for generations to come.

Here is a summary of the vision for my farming future and/or business plan:

I currently have a business plan that I crafted through New Entry Sustainable Farming Project's Farm Business Planning course. This plan is focused on growing a small (2 acre) hemp crop for value-added processing and direct sale, as well as growing 1-2 acres of intensive no-till vegetables for farmer's markets and eventually a CSA.

My plan continues to evolve as my skills and interests change and will ultimately depend on the land that I find. I am more inclined to craft a farm business based on the features of the land and the current market demand in the region than I am to force a specific blueprint on a random property in any location.

More descriptive vision and goals to follow!
