Farm ID 3135

    Farm ID 3135
Property Description:

This place has been farmed for 200 years.  In the 19th century it was a sheep farm, although it is no longer fenced for sheep.  We have had beef cattle on the land for a few decades.  We have electric fencing. There are good hayfields.  We use organic practices.  Because of age, we can no longer maintain the farm as we would wish.  There are two neighboring farms that are similar; the owners are land-rich but aging.  We would like to see the land continue to be utilized for hay and pasture.  There is a good sugar bush and a sugar shack (no evaporator) in the woods.  There may be other possibilities for the farm that we have not thought of.  We intend to live here as long as possible and do not intend to sell the farm, but would be interested in a lease arrangement.
