I fell in love with and purchased this 5 acre hay field 16 years ago....this piece of land was part of the Rubin Young Farm and used for hay production. I designed and built a small Horse Farm on part of the land to give "Home" to my two Haflinger mares and Classic Shetland. I also enhanced the beauty of this land with lavender, perennial/focal point gardens and kept the unused open part of the field bush hogged. I was wondering if there is anyone interested in an organic "creative" use of the open portion of this field! I believe it would be good pasture for sheep/fiber producing critters (I have great interest in the Gotland Sheep Breed) or even a "Cash Crop" of some sort. Would consider a joint venture/share...but...the farm is NOT for sale. I work at an Organic Farm Stand seasonally on the week-ends, maintain private gardens for people, and my hands are always in the earth. Just seems a shame this part of the field is not put to good "Organic" use!
