Past and present farming experience:

I spent the last three years working on an intensive, organic no-till vegetable farm with a focus on building soil fertility. Korean Farming Techniques were often utilized including the use of Indigenous Microorganisms (IMO), and the use of fermented plant extracts. I am currently in contact with a local expert in the field of grain growing and I am working towards gaining access to land in order to grow heritage grains.

Here is a summary of the vision for my farming future and/or business plan:

We are looking at a field-to-table business model. It is our goal to grow a variety of heritage grains in order to process them into flour and bread in which we can then sell to the community. We feel that the commitment to supplying whole-grain, naturally-leavened bread made from nutrient-dense ancient grains grown with sustainable and ecologically sound farming practices is something the surrounding communities could use more of. Soil health is our priority because without that, everything else is lost. So, in addition to making sure the soil is protected and covered at all times, we will also limit the amount of machinery on the field.
