Past and present farming experience:

Both Lily and I grew up on farms in New Hampshire where we had vegetable and flower gardens. We both also had livestock that included cows, hogs and chickens to name a few. Lily has worked with horses for several years and studied Animal & Equine Assisted Social Work; both of us continue our education in the raising of livestock and crops. Both of our families sold the farms a long time ago and it has been our dream to continue the tradition in our own way. We have researched Maine and spent our lives visiting exploring the state- we want to add and be a productive asset to the state’s economy. With the price of land and real estate continuing to rise, the cost of farming continuing to grow and with active farm land on the decline we see ourselves as part of the solution. We have been having a hard time getting loans for farmland because of heavy student loan debt. Lily also works in the social services field which does not exactly pay a lot but is truly rewarding (like farming) and she plans to incorporate social work and therapy into farming. We also own our own re-purpose store in which we rescue broken antiques or furniture and restore them to a desirable condition again! We would love to be able to incorporate our already growing successful business into our farm. Thank you for taking the time to read about us and if you have any questions please contact us as soon as possible. We are willing to do whatever it takes to make this dream a reality and get back to our roots!
