Past and present farming experience:

I own a small farm in Canton, but we are looking for land to expand. I have five Nigerian Dwarf goats, four Jacobs sheep, a rabbit coop and a hen house. I grow pigs in the summer and process all my own meat. I have a one acre veggie garden that I'm still learning with, but hope to sell all my own veggies some day. I started a small farm store last year and ran it myself. I'm willing to learn any and all farming techniques! I want this to be my "job" for life! I've worked many different farms from a nursery greenhouse to vineyards to dairy and goats. I also know how to run most tractors with a short refresher course.

Here is a summary of the vision for my farming future and/or business plan:

We've built slowly from the ground up. I'd like to get licensed someday for a Goat dairy operation. I've supplemented my farm by working full time for the past two years. It is possible that in my third year we may break even or maybe make a profit. Now that I have the infrastructure in place we'll be able to sell the livestock born this year for the first time. Next steps would be a small greenhouse so we can start crops sooner and maybe even do winter crops as well. Someday I'd like to run my farm full time and make just enough to live on, if not allow my fiancé to eventually resign from his occupation as well so we can run the farm together.
