Past and present farming experience:

Hey there! My name is Logan and I'm seeking farmland for a small scale livestock operation. I'm a full time whole animal butcher and part time veggie farmhand. I love working with animals in the field and in the kitchen... My partner Jessie is a bottomless support to my endeavors and interested in homesteading, but will continue her work off farm for our financial stability. We are looking to purchase 40 acres of mixed fields and woods with an existing house. A barn and other amenities are desirable, old apple trees are icing on the cake.

I've been looking at listings for a year and a half and have learned a lot about home buying in the process. I'm a serious buyer, thorough and thoughtful, and interested in buying from transparent and forthcoming owners. I have experience on farms from Washington state to Washington County. Please feel free to be in touch if you think you may have land of interest for a young couple starting a family and a business. Thanks!

I would entertain additional assets worked into the sale of the farm. I'd be interested in working with a farmer on a production based farm focusing on hogs and beef as part of a transition plan.

  • Standard Sale
  • Joint Venture with eventual sale

I am interested in farms with Conservation Easements:
  • Maybe (Please send me information)

Here is a summary of the vision for my farming future and/or business plan:

The business focuses around the commercial butchershop endeavor. The scale of the livestock operation will realistically be self sustaining, but not enough to outfit the butcher shop year round. We will partner with other pasture based, sustainability focused Maine farms to source supplemental animals for butchering. Initially it will be a farmers market based model offering niche foods not offered from the integrated slaughterhouse butchers.
